There Is Always A Workaround to Achieve Fitness; Says Daphne, Mother of Ten

Today we are honored to listen to Daphne Dyson who placed ninth in the 8th Venus Index Transformation Contest.

Daphne overcame a myriad of health issues and years of pregnancy to achieve her goals. She said there is always a workaround; there is always something you can do.

Eight pounds and four inches in twelve weeks is darn good progress for a female with all the adversity Daphne faced and hurdled. This is more the reality that most women face with weight loss.

I love Venus for the straightforward, scientifically-supported simplicity; do hard work in the gym this way, cut calories as is best for your body and lifestyle, and results will come.

“I love Venus for the straightforward, scientifically-supported simplicity; do hard work in the gym this way, cut calories as is best for your body and lifestyle, and results will come.”

Read what Daphne wrote about her experience with the Venus Factor:

The Venus lifestyle: diet to lose fat, workout to gain beauty and strength. Simple, uncluttered, fits into my life, I don’t have to fit my life in around my diet.

I no longer quietly dread that future moment when I give up trying to lose weight anymore, because I cannot keep up with the recommended 3 mini-meals + 3 snacks. With a large family I just do not  have that much time to plan out all those meals and snacks; when I tried to do so, inevitably I ended up overeating. Now, if I want to eat well with my family, I can. Then I quietly reduce my calories at other times, to keep within my weekly calorie budget. This is so different from the conventional way of looking at dieting as a daily thing!

With Venus Factor, there is an end to dieting, and soon I will be able to afford to eat more calories with pleasure and freedom. I am on this journey toward weight loss and strength and it is doable, and I now know deep down that maintaining will be doable too, once I reach my goals.

Aspiring to achieve my personal golden proportions gives me a concrete, measurable goal to work toward; the scale is no longer the only way to see if I am going to be more or less attractive while working so hard in the gym! Do I expect to achieve those numbers perfectly, especially the waist measurement? Well, no, I have had 10 kids after all!

I love Venus for the straightforward, scientifically-supported simplicity; do hard work in the gym this way, cut calories as is best for your body and lifestyle, and results will come.

Finding ESE and Venus Index have been life-changing for me.  Entering a transformation contest is something I’ve only thought about for a long time, that I did not have my diet under control was THE factor that held me back, and having the Golden Ration metrics gave me a wonderful look/goal to strive for.

I give you all my heart-felt gratitude for putting all your experience and  science-based information into a program that is straight-forward, and doable for the rest of my  life!  I hope Venus/Adonis continue to prosper, so that others can change their own lives, as my  family and I have!

Warmly,

Daphne Dyson

Read what Lori wrote about her experience with the Venus Factor:

What do you say about a program that every day, several times a day, has forced others to take notice of you? And boy, have people noticed. Wow! How do I handle all their ‘noticing’?

I have a co-worker who, no matter what results I get, will completely do another program to prove that weight loss can happen on her terms. She has often attempted to sabotage me with food.

And another who was in shape and one time and knows what she needs to do…complains about it but will never do it.

These two sat one on each side of me during this whole contest. That was a challenge in itself! I called them the snack queens. They eat out of boredom and it was hard to remind myself that I was shooting for a bigger goal; ME and MY health.

However, I did have two other co-workers who noticed and joined the program. (I check in on them often and they love it too!) As well as several members who told me how wonderful I looked and that I should be proud. If only they could do it? Of course, I told them that they could and all about Venus.

The ‘noticing’ has ranged from praise to concern to others attempting to sabotage me. Wow!

However, my favorite notice has been from my teenage daughters. My middle daughter saw my legs one day and was like, “Mom, you are wearing shorts and you have better looking legs than I do!”  God bless her!

Today we are honored to listen to Julie Johansen who placed first in the 8th Venus Index Transformation Contest.

Julie took ownership of her weight, ditched the chocolate pity parties, and took action to gain her health and her body back.

Read what Julie wrote about her experience with the Venus Factor:

Though not heavy as a youth, upon reaching adulthood my weight started creeping up to where I found myself as much as 100 pounds overweight. Twice I successfully lost large amounts of weight, but, unknowingly, my calories were still too high. So it involved increasingly more and more hours of my day spent in exercising in order to continue to see any pounds coming off. I felt guilty and narcissistic for spending so much time on myself instead of my family and work, and would eventually give up, putting the weight back on and more.

Finding Venus solved this problem for me. It was a huge eye opener to learn that calorie control is the real key to fat loss and the workouts are to give me the hourglass shape that I had previously assumed were only for the genetically blessed. Since I got the habit of working out down pat early on, I focused more attention on strictly keeping to the weekly calorie budget. While I’m still a work in progress, I love that the exercises target the areas that make women look good!

For mental motivation I turned to the online community for encouragement and answers to questions. I learned that perfection is not possible for me and that when I feel that I have “blown it,” then I simply STOP, do damage control and tell myself that I am not a failure, just a “delayed success” and promptly get right back on track, with fewer and fewer setbacks as time goes on.

With consistent effort, my progress is assured now that I’m experiencing how to effectively manage my three big “M’s”: my mouth, my muscles and my mind. I feel so appreciative that Venus has given me the truth and the tools to make these changes permanent!

With the Venus system Julie learned she could enjoy her life and her family while still achieving her fitness goals.

VT8 12-Week Transformation Winners Announced

The VT8 results are in and the transformations and final pictures are simply amazing!

One thing I love about the focus for women in the Venus program is “The focus is proportions and shape (rather than weight loss at all costs or building muscle like a guy)” – John Barban.

Congratulations to everyone who entered and finished!  This took hard work on the part of everyone and it shows.

Here are the winners:

Each one of these women worked very hard to achieve their success in just 12 weeks.  Many are in mid life and experience much of the stress we all face at that time; jobs, kids, elderly parents, hormone issues and yet they still found a way to make huge progress on their fitness goals.  One thing we emphasize in the Venus program is that we are making changes for life and that the contest is merely a 12 week snapshot, a moment in time, or an en route train stop on our life long journey for health and happiness (not fat loss at all costs).

If you are in the online community please congratulate each of these women for their accomplishments or feel free to comment below, and please feel free to hit the LIKE button!

Finally, this is something that works for me. As a work at home mom of 2 kids younger than 2, I was looking for something simple but real. Not just a quick fix, but a way of life that would fit into my life.

I found that in the Venus index. I like that there is science behind it, it is not just a fad or trend, I can approach it on my terms. And most of all, it works! Prior to joining the VI community I exercised exclusively OUT of the house. I thought I needed to GO someplace to be motivated by someone. VI has shown me that I can do this by myself, for myself. I can integrate this into my life right here at home and I can shape it to fit my needs. The principles of Eat Stop Eat really resonated with me and I love that the workouts are all laid out for you to follow.

Never having been a part of an online community prior to this I have been blown away by the amount of support on the forum. I am proud to call my Venus sisters my friends and I have been so grateful for their support 24/7 via the community and privately. Bottom line, this is the first program I have followed through with long term. I am learning to integrate it into my life slowly, and while I am not all the way to my VI metrics yet, I am working towards it at a pace that has me confident that this is a new way of life for me!

One of the things was how much I appreciate that this program is a way of life and that it has given me the tools–through both the programs (ESE and VI factor workouts) and the community, to control what I can control.

Between working, raising two little girls, taking care of my house and family, it is hard to carve out “me” time.  In the past this would snowball because I would be frustrated when I missed a workout and then eat more, and then I would be discouraged from eating more and not want to exercise.  Of course, then it would become this vicious cycle and before I knew it days would have past where I ate more than I wanted too, didn’t exercise, felt bad, blahblahblah.  It would all change next week, next month, next year, as soon as I got through whatever the next big hurdle was THEN I would start over.  I’m sure this is familiar to so many of us!

I have found this program so sustainable because it is just one day at a time, one step at a time.  If I eat too much today, I eat less tomorrow.  Better yet if I eat too much this morning, instead of blowing the whole day, I just eat less later on.

To take it one step beyond that, I can plan ahead and if I KNOW I want to eat too much tomorrow or next week, or later today because I have plans, I can plan ahead and eat less NOW in preparation.  Similarly, I work out when I can and if I can’t make time today I will make some tomorrow. By making this a way of life instead of a means to an end, I have let go a little and in doing that I have actually gained more control.

Dom kept on going even after the contest because this is her new way of life.

In July of 2011, I weighed my heaviest at 220lbs and size 20. I decided to start watching what I eat. I began logging my food into a website called myfitnesspal. There I met many Venus women. One in particular was named Californiagirl (Bobbie). I watched what she ate and lost 18 pounds by the beginning on 2012. The weight loss gave me the confidence to join a gym and I lost 40 pounds. However, by the end of the year, I felt like I hit a plateau. I looked in the mirror and I was just a small fat person. I looked for an exercise program to shape my body. I saw some Venus women talk about their exercise programs and I loved their after photos. So I bought the Venus index for myself for Christmas. I started in December. I was 165lbs and size 10 when I started the Transformation. With every new week, I was challenged with each new exercise. Very quickly I watched my shapeless body take shape. I am not an ‘after’ as of yet, but well on my way .I am 155lb, a size 6. I love the Venus Index exercises and the Eat Stop Eat guidance. I fast one day a week and stay under 1000 calories a day, 6 days a week. I have utilized the Venus Community for the many questions I have during this journey. I thank you for the Community and the knowledge you have given me.

Cynthia's total transformation so far. With her new confident and Strong Venus mindset she plans to keep going. I have no doubt she will achieve her goals.

Lacey Gained Her Pre-Pregnancy Confidence Back With The Venus Workout

Lacey gained back her self confidence.

Lacey gained back her self confidence.

Lacey Marshall came in fifth place in our Seventh Venus Transformation Contest.  She did an amazing job losing 26 pounds.  She lost 6 inches off her shoulders, 6 inches off her waist, and 4 inches off her hip circumference.  That is an amazing feat in just twelve weeks.  Not only did her body transform but so did her confidence and happiness.  Lacey feels like the confident, fun, and passionate person she once was before having kids; in fact she says this confident person is back with a vengeance!

With her new self confidence Lacey plans to keep on going with her progress.

This is the true Venus Mindset.

Does this sound like what you want again?  You can do this too, with the Venus Workout.  This program gives you the tools you need to get back what you once had, or even have what you have never dreamed of before.

We didn’t get a chance to interview Lacey but here is what she said in her own words:

During this twelve week transformation I feel as if I have been on a rollercoaster of emotions and thought processes.  At the beginning I felt very unsure that I would be able to complete or stick with the program for the whole twelve weeks.  After a couple weeks I definitely started to feel on the top of the world as if nothing could stop me or hold me down.  I loved the high and feeling of success and that change was occurring in so many aspects of my life.

As I entered in to the third cycle of the program I began to fall back into to the old thought patterns of low self-worth that I had before beginning the workouts.  Through much self-reflection of the past weeks I realized I wasn’t going back to what I was before.   This twelve weeks was only just the beginning of the new me.   These “after” photos were going to be my new before photos that in another 12, 20 weeks or a year from now I will look at these after photos and see how much further I have come.

I feel that this transformation has given me the much needed reunion with the person I used to be before I had my first baby.  I felt that the woman who was fun, confident, driven and passionate was back.   In fact not only was she back, but she was back with vengeance!

I am very excited to see and feel the changes and how this affects me, my family, and my friends.  I have had multiple people close to me come and thank me for giving them the motivation and the confidence that they too can have transformation for themselves.

For this I thank you Venus Index

How Donna Finally Got The Healthy Body She Has Always Wanted

Today we are honored to listen to Donna-Marie Moy who placed third in the 7th Venus Index Transformation Contest.

Check out her beautiful transformation from the 12 Week Contest:

Donna made an amazing transformation

Donna made an amazing transformation

Read what Donna wrote about her experience with Venus Index:

I find it amazing that it is possible to completely transform your body from something that was always hidden, to something to be proud of in just 12 weeks. When I started VT7 I knew I was committed to making a change, but I never really thought that in 12 short weeks I would not only be at my lowest body weight since the age of 10, but I’d be wearing a bikini in public and have muscle tone to show off. My Venus Index Transformation was a journey of self-discovery. It was an emotional rollercoaster, sometimes I was elated that I was making progress and amazed that I suddenly fit into a smaller pair of jeans; whilst at other times whilst doing the 20th curtsey lunge I despaired as to whether this effort was making a difference. I enjoy cooking and having my partner joining me in the Men’s version of the contest, meant that fixing my diet was easy. Having the willpower to stop snacking however, was not; But the VI community was there to encourage and guide and with the Un-contests I was able to start shedding the pounds. Building the muscle tone was slower. I followed the VI Phase I week after week, sometimes it was hard to see where it was going but I carried on. The program ensured that as I became accustomed to a routine, it changed and kept me motivated to continue. About half way through the contest I realized that I could feel muscles I never knew I had, and from that point on every week I could see a difference. I’ve now completed phase I and this is just the beginning, Now that I’ve lost weight, this is where the hard work begins!
